"The Cleaning Times are considered standard baselines for determining janitorial workloads. Since 1990, we've been collecting and updating the data for ISSA's Cleaning Times books, and it all began with 292 Cleaning Times. Recently updated in September 2014, The Official ISSA 612 Cleaning Times book continues to grow in popularity.
For the past 27 years, the Cleaning Times series has been used as a reference piece in public and private facilities, government operations, labor unions, higher education, K-12 schools, building service contractors, non-profit associations, workers with disabilities, trade associations industrial environments, research labs, sporting arenas, legal disputes and the vast array of industry-specific workloading software packages.
We've added over 60 times to this current revision. The updates include: routine and detail speeds for carpet care; several additions to hard floor care and defined tasks and deep cleaning tines for the Team Cleaning section.
ISSA's 612 Cleaning Times is not a time motion study. It is designed to be an estimating guide. Most of the times could be improved after actual on-site productivity studies. This publication does not substitute for adequate training and properly operated equipment."
